Last April I had the pleasure and opportunity to attend a workshop in my sister city of Paris at the Maison des Polytechniciens, led by renowned wedding planner and event designer, Joy Proctor. The workshop entitled, “Intentional Design” was aimed at helping us find our inner design voice and learning how to use design to reach our goals.
The course started with an intensive workbook session, where Joy explained to us her design & styling process and gave us the tools to better help us define, practice and understand our personal design goals.
In the afternoon we had a hands on opportunity to learn and practice styling techniques with invitation suites, tabletop decor and accessories styling. We were also invited to a gourmet lunch, where we were served in style with the tabletop designed by Joy herself. Below are some photos of our styling techniques from my fellow classmates along with my own, all captured by the amazing Greg Finck.
